Investing 3,904 billion VND to build 51.94 km of Ho Chi Minh Road through the Mekong Delta

The Minister of Transport has approved the investment project for the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Road section Rach Soi – Ben Nhat, Go Quao – Vinh Thuan. The project spans 51.94 km, passing through various districts in Kien Giang and Bac Lieu provinces, and includes two sections. The Rach Soi – Ben Nhat section starts at Km88+540 – National Highway 61, in Chau Thanh district, Kien Giang province and ends at Km77+00 – National Highway 61, in Giong Rieng district, Kien Giang province. The length of this section is about 11.2 km.
The Go Quao – Vinh Thuan section starts at Km67+213 – National Highway 61, in Go Quao district, Kien Giang province and ends at Km67+174,75 where it intersects with National Highway 63 in Vinh Phong commune, Vinh Thuan district, Kien Giang province. The length of this section is about 40.74 km. The total investment for the project is VND 3,904.072 billion, funded by the state budget. The project is expected to be implemented from 2022 to 2025 and completed by 2026.
Upon completion, the project will contribute to the basic connection of the Ho Chi Minh Road as per Resolution No. 66/2013/QH13 dated November 29, 2013 and No. 63/2022/QH15 dated June 16, 2022 of the National Assembly; gradually perfecting the development planning of the transport network and the overall socio-economic development of Kien Giang and Bac Lieu provinces.
