The Joton Free Trade Zone, a collaborative project between the city of Hai Phong and the Joton Group, is not just an investment project but also a symbol of international cooperation. This project will create a favorable business environment, opening up opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises to develop and expand their business operations in Vietnam in general and Hai Phong in particular.

On July 8, 2023, the Joton Group signed a consulting contract to establish the Free Trade Zone with the strategic consulting company CT-Strategies USA. On August 24, 2023, the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City announced conclusion number 250/TB-VP about the establishment of a task force to coordinate research and construction of the Pilot Project to establish the Joton Free Trade Zone.

L.Q Joton Joint Stock Company and CT Strategies USA have actively implemented steps to research the establishment of this free trade zone. According to announcement 250/TB-VP, the agreement on the name “Joton Free Trade Zone” and “Pilot Project for establishing Joton Free Trade Zone in Tien Lang district, Hai Phong city” will be used as a basis for official documents and implementation of subsequent tasks.

On September 7, 2023, the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City decided to establish a task force to coordinate research and construction of the Pilot Project to establish the Joton Free Trade Zone. The task force will coordinate with L.Q Joton Joint Stock Company, CT Strategies USA to research mechanisms and policies specifically related to socio-economic issues associated with strengthening national defense – security, ensuring social order – safety and suitable management model at the Free Trade Zone.

In a recent meeting with L.Q Joton Joint Stock Company and CT Strategies Vietnam, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee highly appreciated L.Q Joton Joint Stock Company and CT Strategies Vietnam’s research and proposal to build a Free Trade Zone in Tien Lang district. Mr. Chau said that the development of economic zones and industrial parks is considered one of Hai Phong’s strategic objectives to continue attracting investment and promoting socio-economic growth of the city.
